RB #20 Damon Williams, Gadsden City Titans

GADSDEN, Alabama -- With Oxford scoring the go-head touchdown with 1:10 left in the third quarter and taking a 28-27 lead, the Gadsden City Titans realed off three straight touchdowns in the fourth quarter and go on for the 48-28 win.

Damon Williams scored on two of the three touchdowns in the fourth quarter. The first one was a 48-yard touchdown run, another one was a 53-yard touchdown run that he took the handoff and ran left but reversed it back to the other side of the field. "Our line did a great job tonight, I love my line" said the Titans running back Williams. "I saw a lot of space when I cut back but I was looking for one more block and it just opened up some more."

Gadsden City opened the scoring with a 7-yard Rodney Bozeman touchdown run. The key play on that touchdown drive was a Ahmad DeRamus to Darnell Mooney 53-yard pass reception. "Were winning games right now on heart and refussing to loose," said Titans Head coach Matt Scott. "If we can play better football with this mentality, then were going to be a pretty good football team."

Oxford tie the score at 7-7 when Ty Webber threw a perfect pass and a great catch by Tre Gamble on a 21-yard touchdown play. Gamble had five catches on that scoring drive. Gadsden City came right back at the end of the first quarter when Gabe Ford broke a 54-yard touchdown run. Ford finished the night on 115 yards on seven carries. The Titans led 14-7.

Oxford tied the game at 14-14 when Gamble scored on a 1-yard touchdown run while the talented wide receiver moved to the tailback spot. "Were going to have to do a lot with Trey and move him around because he is so talented," said Yellow Jackets Head coach Ryan Herring. "He is an unbelievable running back and he is the best wide receiver in the state. If he stayed healthy, I think the game would have had a different outcome. We played a good team tonight."

With 7:04 left in the half, Ford broke off another big run for a 34-yard touchdown run. The extra point was missed but the Titans took a 20-14 lead. Gadsen City scored again when DeRamus found Jaylon Williams behind the defense for a 35-yard touchdown play.

Oxford came out of the locker room ready to get back into the game. Gamble scored on a 8-yard touchdown run and a Dante Rudolph touchdown run of 9-yards gave the Yellow Jackets their only lead of the game late in the third quarter. Gamble finished the game with 106 yards on nine catches, while adding 53 rushing yards on eight carries during a stretch at running back. However, he went out in the second half with injured ribs and didn't return to the game.
