HOOVER, Alabama -- With two seconds left in the game, Kristian Cotton leaped over two defenders on a 29-yard touchdown pass to give Spainish Fort a 24-22 win over Dutch Fork (SC) today in poll play action in the National Select 7-on-7. Quarterback Tyler Johnson gave a soft fade pass in the corner of the end zone for the late win.

Spanish Fort led early when Johnson hit Ladarrel Pettway on a 5-yard touchdown pass. The two hooked up again on the one point conversion and Spanish Fort led 7-6 early. "We competed this morning and battled hard and made some stops," said Toros Head coach Mark Freeman. "We want to get better today and I'm proud of the way we started the day."

With the Toros down 20-7, Spanish Fort scored again on a Johnson to Cotton touchdown pass of 11-yards. The one point conversion was missed for a 20-13 Dutch Fork (SC) lead. On the next possession, a JD Campbell interception gave the Toros a big three points and cut the lead to four points.
